Overall Purpose Of The Job

The Ancillary Services Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the following ancillary departments: Health and Safety, PrevMed, Public Health, Mortuary Affairs, Imaging, and Laboratory Services. This role will ensure that our facilities are in line with all contractual requirements; additionally, this role with ensure our clinicians have everything they need to provide the highest level of service to customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensures daily operations of Health and Safety, PrevMed, Public Health, Mortuary Affairs, Imaging and Laboratory Services.
  • Coordinates with Project Management Office (PMO) to help manage general operations, human resources and recruiting.
  • Covers the PMO duties as required per project needs. 
  • Plans and prioritizes day to day activities and tasks.
  • Works collaboratively with the Chief Medical Officer and Nurse Manager to provide the highest level of medical care with the resources given.
  • Drives and develops the quality agenda for the ancillary services.
  • Represents International SOS to the Prime and/or government personnel.
  • Works closely with recruiting and HR to ensure adequate staffing and a positive working environment and culture.
  • Responds to contract, facility, and other emergencies.
  • Other duties as assigned.
     

Job Profile

  • Required Skills and Knowledge 
  • Experience Required:
  • Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in healthcare administration.

 

  • Education Required:
  • Clinical background with experience leading allied healthcare professionals.
  • MBA or MS in Health Care or Hospital Administration or Advanced Professional degree is highly preferred.
  • Current American Heart Association/Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

  • Physical Requirements:
  • Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office work environment.
  • Work involves sitting and standing for prolonged periods of time.
  • May require bending, stooping and lifting up to 15 lbs.
  • Other Special Qualifications:
  • Must be able to read, write and speak English to effectively communicate.
  • US Citizen or Permanent Resident Card is required.  
  • Must be able to relocate to Qatar. 
  • A valid passport is required and must be in your possession prior to relocation. You must maintain a current passport.
