Servicing corporate, governmental, and non-governmental clients globally, International SOS, a pioneer & leader in International Health & Security Risk provides tailored support through our 27 Assistance Centres worldwide.
As a Global Threat Monitoring Security Specialist, you will undertake collection and processing of information & analysis to provide timely security assessments and advice to International SOS' clients and internal stakeholders
Key responsibilities
- Collect and process security information through all-source research, processing and analysis ensuring client-facing security standing information is up to date, relevant and reflective of the current situation.
- Collaborate extensively with the Content Services professional community of researchers, multimedia specialists and editors to deliver a shared vision of audience-centric and multimedia digital production.
- Report and escalate security or disruption issues affecting International SOS' clients in line with reporting guidance and thresholds.
- Conducting research into specific security-related questions in order to maintain operational planning and readiness as required by inform International SOS' operational posture.
- As required, deliver safety and security trainings and workshops as well as engage in client specific security intelligence consultancy tasks as required
About you
- Strong knowledge of political and security landscape within Australia, New Zealand and Pacific Islands and International global security regional issues.
- Experience in LATAM, Maghreb, Arab regions are considered advantageous
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills including ability to explain complex situations to non-expert audiences.
- Ability to critically analyse multiple streams of information under time pressure and produce actionable insights.
- Minimum of 2 years experience in Security Analyst role
- Hold full working rights in Australia
Requirements
- Masters degree level (or relevant professional training) in a field related to security, risk management, international politics or international relations
- Experience in security intelligence or related field: military, government, NGO, journalism; relevant academic studies are considered advantageous
- International work experience is desired
Work Timing
- Rotating roster, 13 hours shifts, no night shifts
- This is a full-time role that will be based in Sydney.
Salary Range
- Annual Base salary AUD 80,000 – AUD 91,155 + 12% Super + 5 Weeks AL
- Salary subject to seniority / years of experience

The Assistance Centre at International SOS ANZ Pty Ltd under the remit of International SOS Australasia Pty Ltd, provides 24 hour international medical and travel assistance to our members when they are travelling or living overseas. Our robust Assistance Centre is staffed with a network of medical, security, aviation and logistics specialists, and our range of services aims to help prepare our customers before departure, supports them whilst abroad, and provides assistance should they have a question or concern.
