Global Rehabilitation Liaison Nurse

About the role

International SOS is currently seeking a part-time (0.6 FTE) Registered Nurse who has a strong rehabilitation background to support our client and their participants globally. In this role you will be responsible for liaising with multi-disciplinary teams to support the repatriation of participants with severe and complex injuries. You will be responsible for ensuring necessary allied support services are established and you will liaise with the participant and their care providers to ensure this is delivered in a timely manner. Other details:

  • Office based role
  • Working Days: Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday
  • Corporate working hours between 8AM and 6PM

Key responsibilities

  • Liaise with medical professionals to obtain information from treating doctors to ascertain the suitability of a patient’s treatment and/or to coordinate necessary health care
  • Managing rehabilitation requirements for transport and repatriation and to establish care in a domestic and / or rehabilitation or healthcare setting
  • Monitoring the medical aspects of patient repatriations
  • Liaise with medical departments of various commercial airlines for passenger clearance
  • Liaise with Global Medical professionals to establish care for our participants

About you

  • Unrestricted General AHPRA Registration as a Div.1 RN
  • Passion for assisting others along with good customer service skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills which you will use to build rapport and communicate complex information
  • You will be a team player and you’ll work within a multi-functional team which has a diverse mix of committed individuals who care about making a difference
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in any of the following disciplines:
    • Rehabilitation Nursing
    • General Nursing
    • Community Nursing
    • General Practice Nursing
