About the role

As an editor for International SOS, the role would be responsible for ensuring the quality, accuracy, and consistency of our 24/7 global security and medical intelligence content in a proactive, engaging, and expressive manner whilst working in a multi-cultural environment and opportunities to work with a global team. Five Shifts per seven days according to shift schedule as appropriate.

 

  • Option to be Hybrid model after training: work from home (2 days) and in the office (3 days)
  • Work with a global editorial team alongside Security and Medical professionals
  • Work 5 shifts a week on a 7-day rotating roster between 7am-10pm

Key responsibilities

  • Edit and publish security content in line with quality and service delivery standards.
  • Draft short advisories to notify clients of breaking security and medical events worldwide.
  • Work on content-related projects and drive an increase in multimedia content creation.
  • Ensure consistency of security content against global and country thresholds, and across membership service lines.
  • Provide high-quality editorial assistance to the security and medical operation, guiding reporting consistency, priorities, and coverage.
  • Facilitate the development and training of regional security specialists and assist with client queries/feedback on security content.

About you

  • High proficiency in copy-editing, proofreading, and strong attention to detail
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication in English, with experience in content management systems and MS Office.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
  • Experience working with diverse teams in cross-cultural or remote contexts, and writing for a business audience
  • Minimum of 2 years of editorial experience, preferably in news or current affairs, with international experience
  • Degree in journalism, politics, international relations, or related fields
  • Multimedia and content development experience is desirable
  • Full working rights in Australia
