International SOS - Project Director - Saudi Arabia

 

As International SOS' footprint in Saudi Arabia continues to grow, so does the need for further resourcing.  This includes well established Project Directors with the skill set identified below.

 

Start Date: ASAP (NB: visa processing may take up to 4-6 weeks)

Country: Saudi Arabia

Location: Various

Contract Type: Fixed Term for 12 months / annually renewed. 

Rotation: 8 weeks on duty followed by 4 weeks off duty (with some flexibility) / Six-day work week, followed by one rest day in proximity to the worksite.

Salary:  A monthly salary paid in Saudi Riyals applies.

Other: Economy flights, accommodation and all the necessary remote site insurances are provided.

 

Position Overview (a full job description will be provided to those applicants being considered for the position)

 

The Project Director is responsible for delivering the client's project scope of work on time, to specification and to the agreed budget.

 

The Project Director's responsibilities include ensuring that International SOS (Intl.SOS) procedures are adapted and implemented for all aspects of service delivery to ensure that contractual Key Performance Indications (KPI's) are met and that prescribed Clinical Governance and Quality Management Programs are executed.

 

The Project Director shall be responsible for coordination and deliver of this project on time, within budget and scope.  They shall oversee all aspects of the project, set deadlines, assign responsibilities, monitor and summarize the progress of the project and prepare reports for the client and Intl.SOS management regarding the status of the project.

 

The Project Director will work closely with the client and Intl.SOS to manage expectations and coordinate with relevant stakeholders to ensure all aspects of the project are under control and that delays, and setbacks are appropriately reported and managed.

 

Key Duties & Responsibilities (in brief)

  • Leadership - to provide effective project leadership, consistent with Intl.SOS' vision and core values.
  • Client Relations - the development of Intl.SOS / Client relationships throughout the project to ensure close rapport between Intl.SOS on-site medical team and client's management teams.
  • Team Management Tasks - to impact vision, by scoping requirements of all stakeholders and negotiating consensus on a final vision of the project and communicating it appropriately to all parties involved.
  • Operational Excellence - to work proactively with the Intl.SOS Chief Medical Officer, Project Managers, Clinic Manager and onsite teams to ensure the implementation and delivery of quality medical services to the client.
  • Administrative Tasks - to ensure that as far as possible, prescribed and approved Intl.SOS documents are sourced from the Intl.SOS Medical Services Resource Center and implemented on the Project, to guide and record all activities on sites.
  • Other Tasks & Responsibilities - Any other duties and responsibilities may be reasonably required by Intl.SOS in Country General Manager.

  • A good administrator and logistician with a strong management sense and excellent organizational skills.
  • Excellent communicator with professional written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work in a multi-lingual, multi-cultural environment where consensus is the norm.
  • Even tempered and patient.
  • Able to demonstrate cultural sensitivity.
  • Computer literate (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Database applications.

 

Required Work Experience:

  • A minimum of 10 years' experience in general management.
  • Proven working experience in project management including budgets and finance.
  • Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Solid organizations skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office.

 

Required Qualifications:

  • A degree or related qualification.

 

Other General Information

  • English language skills (oral and written) an absolute must.
  • Arabic language skills (oral and written) will be an added advantage.
