As International SOS' footprint in Saudi Arabia continues to grow, so does the need for further resourcing.  This includes nurses or paramedics who also hold a certification in Quality Management or similar.

 

Start Date: ASAP (NB: visa processing may take up to 4-6 weeks)

Country: Saudi Arabia

Location: Various

Contract Type: Fixed Term for 12 months / annually renewed. 

Rotation: To be confirmed but will either be 8 weeks on duty followed by 4 weeks off duty / 9 weeks on duty followed by 3 weeks off duty (with some flexibility) / Six-day work week, followed by one rest day in proximity to the worksite.

Salary:  A monthly salary paid in Saudi Riyals applies.

Other: Economy flights, accommodation and all the necessary remote site insurances are provided.

The Medical Assurance Officer will support the QIC Assurance program by being able to assess medical facilities across the site.  This may include the construction contractor's basic medical facilities.  Assessment will be based on regulatory compliance, contractual obligations, and the ability to support emergency medical requirements.  This will involve supporting the contractor's medical facilities in defining and implementing their own required monitoring systems for each facility that identifies risks and opportunities and enables a risk-based approach to Continual Quality Improvement (CQI). This should be achieved through their established systems of monitoring compliance with an integrated management system, identifying deficiencies and evaluating and minimizing their potential impact on QIC while also ensuring continual improvement of their systems.  This will ensure the QIC Assurance program remains in a state of compliance with all relevant internal management systems and regulatory requirements while ensuring risks are well controlled.

1. Assisting contractor's basic medical facilities in the implementation of their quality systems and development of quality policies, standards, procedures, and practices on their sites.

2. Coordinating the application of the medical facility's integrated management systems, audit processes and reporting.

3. Assisting QIC Assurance program with the analysis of information including risks & opportunities to improve services.

Desirable Competencies

  • Skills and experience in Integrated Management Systems practices and processes.
  • Previous experience with the implementation of ISO standards
  • Demonstrated experience in documentation management and developing procedures, reports, tools and templates.
  • Significant experience in auditing and development of quality improvement plans across sites.

 

Required Work Experience:

  • Working knowledge of the principles of medical care.
  • Experience in a quality management role.
  • Experience in development and implementation of standards in a health environment.

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Must be registered as a Nurse or Paramedic in country of origin.
  • Certified Quality Manager or similar qualification (highly desirable).
  • Relevant post graduate qualifications (desirable).
  • Hold a valid driving license.
  • Be COVID vaccinated.
  • Hold a valid passport.
  • Be fluent in English - oral and written.
  • Converse in Arabic (highly desirable)
  • Other languages such as Hindi, Pakistani etc. would benefit.
