Paramedic

About the role

Paramedic will support the medical team in the management and coordination support for International SOS medical services activities, consistent with contractual commitments for client’s project site. This will include professional and competent management of patients, occupational health and education of contractors on site within the realms of the paramedic scope of skills. Interface between Intl.SOS Supply Chain and Medical Assistance Center, Medical Service Providers and Client in support of the delivery of medical services

Key responsibilities

Paramedic Responsibilities:

• Provide care for minor illnesses/injuries and emergency medical/trauma care.
• Ensure medical equipment is maintained and clinical waste is properly disposed of.
• Conduct first aid and CPR training, and arrange periodic drills.
• Perform health and safety audits (e.g., kitchen, water supply, sanitation).
• Monitor clients' health status, including drug/alcohol testing and occupational health risks 

Case Escalation

• Escalate medical cases to the Coordinating Medical Doctor as per procedures.

Additional Responsibilities:

• Promote company policies, attend required meetings/training, and ensure workplace safety.

Occupational Health & Safety (OH&S):

• Participate in creating a safe workplace, complete OH&S training, and report hazards or injuries.

About you

• Experience of working in the pre-hospital care clinical setting, for a period greater than 3 years.
• Experience with trauma
• Able to demonstrate clinical leadership and application of a team focused approach in the clinical setting.
• The ability to prioritize medical information and produce clinical recommendations for clients.
• Prior medical assistance experience, desirable but not essential.
• Computer literate in MS Office Applications and Windows applications.
• Professional written and verbal communication skills
• Customer/client focused approach to clinical care.
• Confidence in clinical decision-making.
