Group Finance Systems Transformation Lead

The Finance Systems Deployment Lead is a pivotal role within our Group Finance team, responsible for executing the Group strategic transformation of our finance systems globally. The candidate will work closely with finance community, IT Team, external consultants, and other key stakeholders to implement initiatives outline in Group Finance Systems Roadmap. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in finance/accounting, a strong understanding of technology and process optimization, and a proven track record of implementing complex finance systems projects.

Key responsibilities

1.Process Improvement
• Current State Assessment: Conduct thorough assessments of existing business and operational processes to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and areas requiring enhancement.
• Design and Implementation: Develop detailed plans for process redesign, including workflow automation, to streamline operations and reduce manual intervention.
• Continuous Improvement: Establish mechanisms for continuous process improvement, ensuring the finance function remains agile and responsive to business needs.

 

 

 

2. Change Management
• Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with stakeholders at all levels to foster buy-in and support for transformation initiatives, addressing concerns and managing resistance. With the primary focus on collaboration, communication, and partnership with external partners.
• Training Programs: Design and implement comprehensive training programs to ensure employees are equipped to operate new systems and processes effectively.
• Post-Implementation Review: Conduct post-implementation reviews to assess the effectiveness of changes and identify opportunities for further improvement.
• Lead the finance system Chart of Account change management to align with the Group Chart of Account policy.
• Conduct the analysis of financial data from legacy systems and map it to the to be COA of the new system and verification of the financials between pre and post migration (perform validation of TB and BS)
• Partner with system owners to integrate the finance system with another platform.
• Documentation of Policy, change management guidelines, lead Audit
• Lead discussion to understand existing processes and design/propose to-be process (as-is vs. To be both from process and system point of view). Addressing any statutory requirement

Required Skills & Knowledge

• 5+ years of experience in accounting.
• Finance System Project Management skills. Proven ability to manage project from inception to completion.
• Experience/participated in deployment of applications/software and provide hands on training + coaching to end user.
• An excellent administrator with strong people management skills.
• Strong organizational and time management skills to ensure objectives are achieved.
• Advanced knowledge of Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Customer/client focused, strong team player and high attention to detail.
• A strong communicator at all levels within the organization – upward, downward and peer group.
• An ability to multitask on several different initiatives simultaneously whilst ensuring consistency and quality.
