About the role

The Chief Medical Officer is responsible ensure high quality and standard medical care is provided to client in locations as per assigned project, as well as for the overview of medical care by providing on-going supervision, education & support to the medical staff and remote site doctors. This is to ensure that an international & professional standard of medical care is rendered to our members & clients
 

Key responsibilities

Onsite Responsibilities

  • To provide primary medical care on site to the client and other agreed parties
  • To provide appropriate emergency medical/trauma response and care which includes the preparation and management of emergency evacuations of client personnel as directed by International SOS Coordinating Doctor and as per existing International SOS procedures.

  •  Additional administrative duties on-site

 

Site Management

  • Responsible for the overview of medical care quality at assigned Site Clinic in consultation with MD.
  • Provide direct support to the MD in an educational role of the medical staff.
  • Innovation to drive & update clinical practice within the clinic as required, Maintain updated knowledge as a clinician.
  • Lead the team to support ad hoc requirement per client’s needs.

 

Occupational Health & Safety

  • Participate in the development and maintenance of a safe and healthy workplace.
  • Undertake all mandatory OH&S training as required.
  • Comply with any reasonable instructions, policies, procedures or safe work practices given by Intl.SOS in adhering to safe work procedures.
  • Co-operate with management in its fulfilment of its legislative obligations.
  • Take reasonable care to ensure own health and safety and the safety of others. 
  • Report any injury, hazard or illness as soon as possible to supervisor

About you

    • Bachelor of Medicine; Postgraduate degree is preferred in Emergency, Intensive Care & Anesthesiology
    • Must have at least 5 years' experience in an emergency setting facility
    • Excellent clinical skills are required
    • Has proven leadership and teaching ability
    • Has the ability to interact with high profile clients and strong interpersonal skills
    • Highly motivated and strong organizational skills.
