The Role

The Mental Health Nurse will deliver high-quality mental health care in a clinical setting within an Immigration Detention Centre. Key Tasks:

• Deliver comprehensive mental health care tailored to client needs
• Initiate appropriate treatment and referrals during emergency situations
• Work closely with a multidisciplinary team, ensuring holistic care
• Oversee the administration of mental health medications
• Conduct health programs designed to improve mental wellness

Requirements

• Full working rights in Australia
• Current AHPRA registration as a Div. 1 Registered Nurse
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in Mental Health Nursing
• Strong clinical assessment, care planning, and crisis management skills
• Current First Aid / BLS certificate (or willingness to obtain)
• Current Federal Police Check (or willingness to obtain)
