Deliver exceptional mental health services including the provision of Torture and Trauma Counselling services to clients as an integral part of a dynamic team.
The Role
The Mental Health Nurse & Torture and Trauma Counsellor will deliver high-quality mental health care with the provision of Torture and Trauma Counselling in a clinical setting within an Immigration Detention Centre. Key Tasks:
· Deliver comprehensive mental health care tailored to client needs
· Provide Torture and Trauma counselling consultations as required either onsite or remotely via telehealth
· Initiate appropriate treatment and referrals during emergency situations
· Work closely with a multidisciplinary team, ensuring holistic care
· Administer medications as prescribed and/or in accordance
· Conduct health programs designed to improve mental wellness

About You
· Full working rights in Australia
· Current AHPRA registration as a Div. 1 Registered Nurse
· Minimum of 3 years post graduate experience
· Proven experience with clinical coordination/case management and risk assessment within the mental health environment
· Relevant experience in Torture and Trauma Counselling
· Current First Aid / BLS certificate (or willingness to obtain)
· Current Federal Police Check (or willingness to obtain)
