We are seeking an experienced Team Leader - Registered Nurse to work in Perth with IHMS.

About the role

You will deliver and maintain primary health care services to Detainees residing at APOD locations outside Immigration Detention Facilities within the Australasian Region in accordance with IHMS Policies and Procedures and the RACGP Standards.

Key responsibilities

  • To ensure that health care is delivered within the APODS to all Persons in accordance with Medical Services Standards
  • To manage and lead the day to day operations of the IHMS Medical Facility in consultation with the Health Services Manager and/or Area Medical Director.
  • Provide clinical reports as directed by the Health Services Manager and/or Area Medical Director. to appropriate internal and external stakeholders
  • Comply with privacy legislation and IHMS Policies and Procedures including the confidentiality agreement
  • To demonstrate effective management of the nursing team through proactive and supportive engagement and execution of the Performance Management Process
  • Management of ordering and monitoring of stock within the Medical Facility (APOD)
  • Administer medications and immunisations as necessary

About you

  • Current AHPRA Registration as a Registered Nurse
  • Full & valid working rights in Australia
  • Significant health management experience gained from working in a large multi-faceted health business with broad clinical experience in primary health, mental health, emergency and public health.
  • Previous Nursing experience in a detention/ correctional facility is highly desirable;
  • A degree or post graduate qualification in health administration, health management or Business is desirable.
  • Current First Aid or Basic Life Support (or willingness to get one)
