Full-time opportunity for an experienced Mental Health Nurse to work in our immigration detention centre clinic in Brisbane.

The Role:

Seeking an experienced Mental Health Nurse, to work at the immigration detention centre in Brisbane. 

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing a high standard of clinical care  pertaining to mental health care
  • Initiating appropriate treatment and referral in emergency situations
  • Working as part of the multi-disciplinary team
  • Management of patients on mental health medications
  • Administration of medications
  • Conducting health promotional activities

Required:

  • Current AHPRA Registration as a Div. 1 Registered Nurse
  • Minimum 3 years experience in Mental Health Nursing
  • Advanced clinical assessment, care planning and crisis management skills
  • Current First Aid and/or CPR certificate or willingness to obtain
  • Current Federal Police Check or willingness to obtain
